Wood Counter Blocks
IOM Woodworking’s handcrafted Counter Blocks are made from
only the best quality domestic and exotic hardwoods.
Guaranteed to endure rigorous daily use, and to be passed
down through the generations. The rich color of these blocks
will only get better with the passing of time. In a
marketplace where most products are disposable, this block
will stand the test of time. Counter block comes with 4
rubber feet attached to the underside to keep the board from
sliding on your countertop.
To revitalize these blocks one only needs to gently scrub it
with an abrasive pad, clean with soap and water, and apply

This wood comes from Pennsylvania. Freshly cut cherry is light
in color but as it ages the color deepens to a rich red and

Sometimes referred to as Satinwood. Yes, it really is
yellow. Yellow Heart wood comes from Brazil. |

Purple Heart - Exotic Hardwood
Yes it really is purple. When first cut purple heart is
gray in color but exposure to sunlight quickly brings
out the bright purple color. Purple heart is very hard,
and exceptional hard to work with. Purple Heart comes
from Central and South America. |

Oak - Domestic Hardwood
White Oak is a very hard and durable hardwood. It is impervious
to liquids, and has been used extensively for ship timbers,
barrels and casks. |

Padauk
- Exotic Hardwood
Padauk also called Vermillion
is a brilliant red colored wood. As time passes the bright
red color deepens to a rich dark red color. Padauk comes
from Malaysia and Central Africa.
